Some Issues That Should Be Considered When Using Online Sites

There is always going to be a wild and threatening side to using social media or online websites in general. You run the risk of getting hacked or scammed, catching a computer virus, having your personal information leaked, or being preyed upon. These are everyday things that occur everywhere. But there are some issues you should consider to reduce your risk of exposure to these dangers. Be aware of habits like careless clicking. Spam emails, bogus “free” offers, click bait, online quizzes and more all use phishing strategies to lure you to click on dangerous links or submit your personal information. Always be alert for offers that sound too good to be true, or ask for too much info. Also, be attentive to websites that have misspelled words or bad grammar in their addresses. These sites could be copycats of real websites. In all honesty, use your common sense and trust your gut instinct.
